It has really good instincts so its used as a scenthound dog. It is part of the Anglo-French Hounds group. This breed was developed by crossing French scenthounds with English foxhounds.

The Anglo-Français de Petite Vénerie heights from 40 to 56cm (from 16 to 22 inches) and it weights from 16 to 20kg (from 35 to 44 pounds). Its body is muscular and strong. Its head is small compared to the body. Its coat is short. The most common color is white with fawn and black patches. This breed is a low shedder so it doesn’t require much grooming. You have to brush it with firm bristle brush and bathe it when needed. It is important to check their ears daily too.
