Sacramento Pit Bull Rescue
Based in Sacramento California, PCS rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes dogs from shelters and places them with carefully selected foster and responsible foster families. We offer education and socialization support for all ages of our dogs. Dogs rescued from shelters are either scheduled for euthanasia or are at high risk. We do not take ownership. We believe it is the owner’s responsibility to rehome them safely and responsibly if for any reason they are no longer able to care for them.
Prime Video: Pit Bulls & Parolees
Of all the dogs in the shelter, about 70% are “pit bulls” or “pit bull mixes.” Only 1 in 500 dogs of this breed will ever find a home and the rest are happy. PCS is dedicated to reducing the homeless pit bull population by spaying and neutering all of our rescued dogs. Additionally, we participate in community outreach events to spay, neuter, vaccinate and microchip animals in Northern California. PCS is dedicated to saving the lives of pit bulls who have been neglected, abused and left to die. We are foster based which means we don’t have facilities. All of our rescue dogs are in foster homes and therefore foster families are a necessity to save lives.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and as such, we only conduct public donations and fundraising activities to support rescue efforts. Pit Crew Sacramento is run by volunteers who are passionate about pit bulls and changing people’s perceptions of this misunderstood and misunderstood breed. We welcome all pit bull lovers to join our group!!! Hello everyone, accept my name. I was saved by a bicycle in Roseville when a good Samaritan called Pete Crew for help. I was used to nothing but breeding and left all my short life outside. Once I was saved, I never looked back! Now that I live indoors, I am crate trained and absolutely loving my new normal!! I love walking, running, hiking and anything else that is active with my people. I like other dogs too, but I prefer to see them properly and when we are friends, I love to fight and play! I may have come from a bad start, but I won’t let that get in the way of my life and I can’t wait to have a forever family!
Apparently animal control came out and couldn’t catch him…a group of good samaritans tried for 3 hours…then called us. Got it in 10 minutes. It is very important that you contact a rescuer for potentially dangerous situations with stray dogs. We have the tools and experience to catch them safely and comfortably… without fear or using traps. AC appeared behind him and asked me if he could scan. No ma’am. The dog got scared and ran after the biker saying he wanted to shoot him. Another stranger should not try to approach him. About the most boring thing I’ve ever heard! I expected AC to know better… Then he said “Maybe it’s a rescued dog, we don’t want to think about a stray like that.” Wrong again “animal control.” If he has chosen a rescue dog, he will be wonderful. Which he doesn’t. I’m always willing to work with AC but if you show up in a car with no signs, out of uniform, with a bad attitude, after a friend can’t hold it for hours. Please immediately. We have a scanner. We have everything you have and more ❤ especially patience and energy which is very important ❤
Chako Pit Bull Rescue Blog
Hello everyone. accept my name I am new to rescue. I was saved by a bicycle in Roseville when a good Samaritan called Pete Crew for help. I was so scared, but I ran into my new adopted home.
Remember that “aggressive” pit bull Roseville can’t hold animal control for 3 hours? Well, check them out! This is the first time they put all my bags together. They are crated and played with for 3 weeks to adjust to the new environment and then introduced to each individual dog. He’s good with other dogs and if he gets better next week, we can finally let him play with others! Now….she’s attracting a bit more male interest 🤣😉 Autumn is as sweet as she is beautiful and starts meeting new people and ends up in love! He is silly, playful and very interesting. I can’t wait to get to know him better😍❤🐶 He goes to the crate like a champ and I think he’s just happy in a warm house with his bed😊 He’s never had an accident and that’s real. Happiness all around. They will make the best first trainer for one of you out there!!
Autumn is cleared for adoption and fostering, so if you would like to give this beautiful girl a warm place to stay until her new family arrives, we would love for her to go into foster care. show 🤞🤞🤞
How Much Does It Cost To Surrender A Pit Bull?
#4 Fall has been saving us for 2 years and we just hit! She is a wonderful girl and loves to walk and play with her human foster sister as well as her k9 sister. Autumn is great on leash and will make a great family dog! He is athletic, funny, loves everyone he meets and is good at cars! He is amazing and despite everything he has been through, he is living proof that dogs are better than humans! Everyone will be happy to make it their own! Miss Muffin has been with us for over two years. He is patiently waiting for his forever home. She is very interested in other dogs, but sometimes her size can be intimidating. She would greatly benefit from going to the Board and Rail Center, if you don’t think she’s right for you, but you’d still like to see this sweet girl grow, consider sponsoring her so she can Be the best dog he can be. . ! <3
This week we received a message about an injured pit bull that was living near the river next to the boarding kennels in Sacramento in Longview. We were at the scene within an hour to see if we could find him, but no such luck. Later at 3pm we meet again and start searching. I knew he was there…somewhere. Because he was wounded, she was able to hide and watch his every move. So we drove around the Mile Creek Trail with an empty creek that dropped about 50 feet straight down and there it was…in a tree trunk next to it, there it was! Planted in a ball, it grows very hard under its breath. He doesn’t like to party, but who can blame him?! He has survived there only because God knows. He probably lived off the garbage and left cat food in the barn for the stray cats. He was seriously injured in his right front leg, possibly broken. She was scared, scared and alone.
We waste our time treating her…nothing. We approached …. He moved, did not put weight on the injured paw, he stood in awe of the audience and our intentions.
My Pit Bull Valentine Photo Show!
We quickly learned that we had to handle him more aggressively so he wouldn’t hurt himself trying to run/fight. It wasn’t an easy task because we didn’t have time to get the catch pool and proper equipment because we rushed to the scene after work to avoid losing the sun. We ran and got the crate out of the car. One of our members had a fishing tackle that he held at a distance and caught it. But the pole can be stretched 10 feet by 3 feet as it is pulled back. Now he’s just a stone’s throw away from us, barking, growling and ready to attack, better yet, try to attack! So we quickly made the necessary slip with the basic lash and looped it from the opposite side. So now if he jumps at Robert, I pull him back with the rope, if he grabs me, I pull him down.
